MLB: Seattle 11, Kansas City 8

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre homered and drove in five runs Friday to lead the Seattle Mariners to an 11-8 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Beltre finished a triple shy of the cycle, ending 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Mariners, who trailed 6-0 after two innings but scored nine times over the final five innings, to come away with just their second win in their last six games.

Richie Sexson added three hits, an RBI and two runs scored for Seattle.

Ryan Shealy hit a grand slam, his third homer of the series, and Esteban German had three hits and two RBI for Kansas City, which lost for only the second time in six games.
