COL FB: Georgia 34, UAB 0

ATHENS, Ga., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kregg Lumpkin ran for touchdowns as No. 9 Georgia beat UAB, 34-0, for its second straight shutout.

The Bulldogs (3-0) last notched consecutive shutouts in their national championship season of 1980. They held UAB to just 174 total yards Saturday.

Stafford completed 10-of-17 passes for 107 yards. Lumpkin added 54 rushing yards on 10 carries.

Sam Hunt was 6-of-10 passing for 49 yards for UAB (1-2), while teammate Chris Williams was 5-of-10 for 46 yards.
