TORONTO, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Remarkable News heads the field of 13 turf runners in Sunday's running of the $1 million Woodbine Mile in Toronto.
The race, a major prep for the Breeders' Cup Mile Nov. 4, features an international cast, with Remarkable News, who won the Fourstardaye Handicap at Saratoga, the 5-2 morning line favorite. Remarkable News, with the No. 7 post position, has $300,000 in lifetime earnings and will be ridden by Javier Castellano.
Second odds-on choice, Diamond Green, pulled the No. 6 position with jockey Jose Santos aboard. Third choice and at the No. 5 position will be Ad Valorem, with Patrick Husbands in the irons.
Rounding out the field are Vanderlin, Sweet Return, Therecomesatiger, Shoal Water, Ballast, Becrux, Rebel Rebel, Dalavin and Captain Kurt.
