
SACRAMENTO, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Yolanda Griffith scored a team-high 15 points Sunday afternoon as Sacramento buried Detroit, 89-69, in Game Three of the WNBA Finals.
Griffith also had four rebounds.
Nicole Powell added 14 points, six rebounds and three assists; DeMya Walker had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists; and Erin Buescher scored 11 points for the Monarchs, who took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five title series.
Sacramento has won 11 straight playoff games at home and can win its second straight title in Game Four Wednesday night.
Deanna Nolan had 22 points and five rebounds; and Cheryl Ford had 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists for the Shock, who out-rebounded the Monarchs, 30-27, but shot 45.3 percent from the floor while Sacramento hit nearly 50 percent of it shots.
Both teams committed 23 turnovers.
