COL FB: Notre Dame 14, Ga. Tech 10

ATLANTA, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Darius Walker rushed for 99 yards and the game-winning TD as No. 3 Notre Dame beat Georgia Tech, 14-10, Saturday night.

Notre Dame (1-0) quarterback Brady Quinn finished 23-of-38 for 246 yards and scored a touchdown on a five-yard draw play. Rhema McKnight had eight receptions for 108 yards, and Jeff Samardzija had six catches for 74 yards.

Reggie Ball passed for 140 yards and ran for another 55 yards for Georgia Tech (0-1). Wide receiver Calvin Johnson had seven receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Travis Bell kicked a 30-field goal for Georgia Tech.
