
PONTIAC, Mich., Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Craig Nall threw for 119 yards and one touchdown Thursday night as Buffalo beat the Detroit Lions, 20-13.
Starting quarterback J.P. Losman completed all five of his passes for 52 yards, and Kelly Holcomb was 4-for-4 for 81 yards. Willis McGahee gained 29 yards on eight carries and ran 20 yards for a touchdown, and Andre Davis made two pass receptions for 89 yards -- including a 70-yard scoring pass from Nall in the fourth quarter.
The Bills ended the preseason with a record of 1-3.
Josh McCown threw for 96 yards on 11-of-14 passing and Dan Orlovsky was 9-of-14 for 73 yards. Brian Calhoun gained 58 yards on 15 carries and Eddie Drummond caught five passes for 39 yards and one touchdown for the Lions (1-3).
Detroit plays host to Seattle in the regular season opener Sept. 11, the same night that Buffalo travels to New England.
