
MIAMI, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Mike Jacobs hit a game-winning pinch-hit RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday afternoon as Florida edged the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3.
Miguel Cabrera and Josh Willingham each hit solo home runs, Dan Uggla hit an RBI single, and Willingham had three hits for the Marlins (62-66), who won for the seventh straight time.
After his fourth blown save of the year, the winner was closer Joe Borowski (2-2).
Bill Hall hit a two-run single, David Bell hit a solo home run and had three hits, and Gabe Gross had a run and two hits for the Brewers (62-67), who lost for the fourth time in their last 10 games.
The losing pitcher was reliever Brian Shouse (1-1).
Milwaukee starter Chris Capuano had no walks and nine strikeouts in six innings.
