ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Garret Anderson and Howie Kendrick both homered Saturday afternoon as the Los Angeles Angels beat the New York Yankees, 12-7.
Anderson's homer was a two-run blast in the third inning. Hendrick hit a solo homer in the sixth.
Anderson drove in four runs; Vladimir Guerrero had three hits, three runs and two RBI; Kendrick had two runs and four hits; Orlando Cabrera had three runs, two hits and one RBI; while Adam Kennedy had two hits and one RBI for the Angels (69-61), who have seven wins in their last 10 games.
Winning pitcher Ervin Santana (13-6) gave up five runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Francisco Rodriguez earned his 36th save.
Johnny Damon hit a two-run homer, Jason Giambi hit a two-run double, and Jorge Posada and Robinson Cano both hit sacrifice flies for the Yankees (76-52), who have dropped three straight games.
The loser was Brian Bruney (0-1).
