LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Sparks triumphed over the Seattle Storm, 68-63, Tuesday to advance to the WNBA's Western Conference finals.
The Sparks were led by Lisa Leslie with 14 points and eight rebounds and Temeka Johnson with 14 points and six assists.
Mawadi Mabika also scored 11 points for the Sparks, who won the final two games of the best-of-three series and now will face defending league champs Sacramento, starting Thursday.
Lauren Jackson had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the 2004 WNBA champion Storm.
