HOUSTON, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Yolanda Griffith scored 17 points Saturday to lead Sacramento over the Houston Comets, 92-64, and a sweep of their best-of-three WNBA semifinal series.

Rebekkah Brunson had 14 points and Nicole Powell, Kara Lawson and DeMya Walker each scored 10 points as the defending champion Monarchs won their ninth straight post-season contest and advanced to the conference finals for the fourth straight year.

Michelle Snow scored 16 points and Tina Thompson added 14 for Houston, which committed 15 turnovers to only five for Sacramento.

Erin Buescher was named the league's Most Improved Player prior to the game and then scored seven points for the Monarchs -- who will face either top-seeded Los Angeles or No. 4 Seattle in the conference semifinals.
