COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Joseph Ngwenya scored the game's only goal Saturday as the Columbus Crew posted a 1-0 MLS victory over Red Bull New York.

Bill Gaudette made three saves en route to the shutout for the Crew, who won for the first time in 14 outings. It was only Columbus' fifth win in 24 games this season.

Tony Meola stopped three shots for the Red Bulls, who are still winless in two matches since Bruce Arena has taken over as coach.
