ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- A benches-clearing brawl highlighted Wednesday night's 9-3 win by Texas over the Los Angeles Angels.

Seven players were ejected in the ninth inning after Angels' reliever Kevin Gregg threw behind the Rangers' Ian Kinsler. Both benches were warned.

The Angels were retaliating after the Rangers' Vicente Padilla hit Vladimir Guerrero and Juan Rivera in Tuesday night's game.

On Wednesday, Nelson Cruz hit a grand slam; and Kinsler had two runs, three hits, and two RBI, including a two-run homer in the third for the Rangers (62-59), who have won six of their last seven games.

Winner Adam Eaton (3-2) gave up four hits and two runs in seven innings.

Maicer Izturis hit a two-run homer; and drove in all three runs for the Angels (62-59), who have lost two of their last three games. The losing pitcher was Joe Saunders (4-1).
