MLB: Tampa Bay 8, Toronto 3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Three players each had two RBI Wednesday night as Tampa Bay blasted Toronto, 8-3.

Damon Hollins hit a two-run homer; Johnny Gomes hit an RBI double and a sacrifice fly; Jorge Cantu hit an RBI double and a sacrifice fly; Rocco Baldelli; Carl Crawford; and Dioner Navarro each had three hits; and Crawford scored once for the Devil Rays (48-72), who broke a seven-game losing streak.

Winner James Shields (5-6) gave up three runs and four hits in six innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Bengie Molina hit a solo home run; Frank Catalanotto had two hits and two RBI; and John McDonald had a run and two hits for the Blue Jays (64-56).

In five innings, losing pitcher Ted Lilly (10-11) allowed six runs and nine hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
