MLB: Philadelphia 13, NY Mets 0

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Abraham Nunez' bases-clearing double highlighted a six-run first inning Monday as the Philadelphia Phillies routed the New York Mets, 13-0.

Cole Hamels (5-6) pitched eight shutout innings, holding the Mets to four hits with nine strikeouts. The southpaw didn't walk a batter.

Jimmy Rollins was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a three-run homer. Shane Victorino homered and scored twice for the Phillies, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Pedro Martinez (9-5) lasted just one inning, yielding six runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout. He left after the inning with a right calf strain and is listed as day-to-day.
