ZANDVOORT, Netherlands, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- England's Simon Dyson birdied the first playoff hole Sunday to beat Richard Green of Austria and win the KLM Open Golf Tournament in Zandvoort, Netherlands.
It was Dyson's second win of the season on the European Tour. He won the Indonesian Open at Jakarta in March.
"It feels fantastic," Dyson said. "To win once is a great achievement, but to do it again in the same year, it just keeps getting better. It's been a good year so far."
Dyson and Green finished at 14-under-par 270.
Green forced the playoff with a closing 6-under 65. Dyson shot 5-under 66.
"I feel pretty good," said Green. "I gave myself that chance yesterday and I'm pretty pleased with this round."
He shot 8-under 62 Saturday.
Third-round leader Damien McGrane (70) of Ireland finished alone in third at 13-under 271. Christian Cevaer (67) of France was fourth at 12-under 272.
