MLB: San Diego 7, Houston 2

HOUSTON, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Home runs by Mike Cameron and Josh Bard Sunday afternoon helped San Diego beat the Houston Astros, 7-2.

Cameron had two runs, three hits and two RBI; Bard, Dave Roberts, Geoff Blum, Josh Barfield and winning pitcher Woody Williams all drove in a run; while Roberts, Barfield, Williams, Brian Giles and Adrian Gonzalez all had two hits for the Padres (60-57), who have split their last four games.

Williams (5-4) surrendered two runs and eight hits in seven innings with no walks and three strikeouts.

Adam Everett hit a solo home run, Aubrey Huff hit a sacrifice fly and Lance Berkman and Chris Burke each had two hits for the Astros (57-60), who also have split their four games.

Loser Brandon Backe (3-2) gave up three runs and nine hits in five innings with two walks and three strikeouts.
