ZANDVOORT, Netherlands, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Ireland's Damien McGrane has a three-shot lead through 54 holes of the European Tour's KLM Open Golf Tournament at Zandvoort, Netherlands.
In Saturday's third round, McGrane used birdies on the final four holes to shoot 7-under 64. Overall, he is 12-under 201.
"My game had improved so much over the last 10 years that I felt it was time for me to leave the type of business I was in," said McGrane, who has never won on the tour. "Now I feel I have something to prove -- that I made the right decision -- and I'm looking to crack that nut by winning."
Jean-Francois Remesy (67) of France, Simon Dyson (66) of England and Ireland's Peter Lawrie (64) are tied for second at 9-under 204.
First round co-leader Christian Cevaer (69) of France, Richard Green (62) of Austria and Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen (69) are tied for fifth at 8-under 205.
