LONDON, Ontario, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Angela Stanford has a three-shot lead after one round of the LPGA's Canadian Open Golf Tournament at London, Ontario.

She leads Cristie Kerr, Vicki Goetze-Ackerman and Jee Young Lee, who all shot 5-under 67.

"My goal today was to be patient," Stanford said. "I just gave myself some chances and the putts were going in today. I'm just really rolling it really well right now."

Stanford, who parred each of the final four holes, matched the tournament record with her 64 to join Annika Sorenstam, Jill McGill and Tammie Green in the record book.

Stanford has not missed a cut since the LPGA Corning Classic in late May.

Defending champion Meena Lee, Lorie Kane and Il Mi Chung are tied for fifth at 4-under 68.
