PHOENIX, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Pedro Feliz' two solo home runs helped the San Francisco Giants beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-4, in the first of a three-game series at Chase Field.
Also for the Giants, Moises Alou hit a two-run home run and Ray Durham and Shea Hillenbrand added solo homers. The Giants have won their last two contests and ended a seven-game road slide.

Jason Schmidt gave up three runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings and added a solo home run.
Chad Tracy drove in two runs and Orlando Hudson went 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Diamondbacks, who have lost four of their last five.
Enrique Gonzalez pitched five innings and gave up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
