
SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Mike Sweeney had three hits and two RBI Sunday afternoon as San Francisco beat the Colorado Rockies, 6-2.
Pedro Feliz had two hits and two RBI; Omar Vizquel hit an RBI single; Randy Winn drove in a run; Barry Bonds had two runs and one hit; and Moises Alou had a run and two hits for the Giants (53-58), who have only two wins in their last 13 games.
In 5 1/3 innings, winner Matt Cain (8-8) scattered two runs and six hits. He walked one batter and had a career-high 12 strikeouts.
Garrett Atkins hit a solo home run, and Yorvit Torrealba had two hits and one RBI for the Rockies (54-56), who were held to six hits and lost for the third time in their last 10 games.
Aaron Cook (7-10) allowed nine hits and five runs in 5 1/3 innings.
