Report calls Kenny Anderson deadbeat dad

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Former U.S. NBA All-Star Kenny Anderson is a deadbeat dad who has stiffed at least five of his seven children, the New York Post alleged.

The Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kunas picked up Anderson in January. Although salaries reportedly run from $750,000 to $1 million, Anderson has not paid any child support since then, the newspaper said.

Tami Roman, his first wife and mother of two of his four daughters and a reality-TV alumnus, is furious, the Post reported.

At about the same time Anderson married Roman, he met Suany Castro, with whom he had a love affair that lasted 10 years, ending in 2002, the report said. During that time, Anderson divorced Roman and married Tamiyka Anderson. The couple divorced in 2002.

Unlike Roman, however, Castro and Tamiyka say Anderson still supports them, but not monetarily.

"He hasn't paid child support in over a year," Castro said. "I have a really good relationship with him. He supports my kids in other ways."

Anderson's basketball career has stumbled in the past year, forcing the star to file for bankruptcy. He played for several teams in the NBA.
