Woods leads by two after three rounds

GRAND BLANC, Mich., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods had his third straight 6-under 66 Saturday for an 18-under 198 and a two-stroke lead after three rounds of the Buick Open at Grand Blanc, Mich.

Woods has won 35 out of 38 times on the PGA Tour when he has held at least a share of the 54-hole lead. If he wins Sunday he will collect PGA Tour victory No. 50, to become the seventh man to accomplish the feat -- and the youngest, at 30.

Scott Verplank, Lucas Glover and Robert Allenby, all shot 66 Saturday and are tied for second 16-under 200.

Some players finished their second rounds on Saturday morning as play finally caught up after Thursday's action was called early due to inclement weather and unplayable course conditions.

Vaughn Taylor had a 9-under 63 in the third round. He is tied for fifth with Stephen Ames (66), Joe Durant (67), Mike Weir (68) and two-time defending champion Vijay Singh (68) at 201.
