MIAMI, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Derek Lowe gave up one run on five hits over seven innings Friday night as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Florida, 6-2, for their seventh straight win.
Kenny Lofton hit a solo homer and an RBI single; Wilson Betemit also hit a solo homer; Rafael Furcal had one run, two hits and one RBI and extended his hitting streak to 11 games; Andre Ethier hit an RBI double; and the Dodgers (54-55) scored a run a throwing error by Florida starter and loser Anibal Sanchez.
Lowe (9-7) had no walks and five strikeouts.
Mike Jacobs and Dan Uggla both drove in a run, and Alfredo Amezaga had two of the six hits for the Marlins (51-58), who have split their last four games.
In six innings, Sanchez (4-2) surrendered three runs and six hits with no walks and five strikeouts.
