3-way lead at Scandinavian Masters

MALMO, Sweden, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- There is a 3-way tie for the lead after the first round of the European Tour's Scandinavian Masters Golf Tournament at Malmo, Sweden.

Scotland's Marc Warren, Benn Barham from England and Nicolas Colsaerts from Belgium were tied at 5-under-par 67.

"I just keep knocking on the door," said Colsaerts, who has not won on the tournament this year. "People know I can do better than I have showed so far."

Playing in one of the earliest groups, Warren made just one bogey on the front nine, but carded back-to-back birdies to put him in the clubhouse with the early lead.

Five players shot 4-under-par 68. That group includes England's Tom Whitehouse, Fredrik Andersson of Sweden, Michael Campbell of New Zealand, Scotland's Alastair Forsyth and France's Raphael Jacquelin.

Defending champion Mark Hensby of Austria was one of 26 players who opened at even-par 72.
