MLB: N.Y. Mets 6, Florida 5

NEW YORK, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Paul Lo Duca had one run, three hits and one RBI Wednesday night to help the New York Mets beat Florida, 6-5.

Cliff Floyd hit an RBI single; Carlos Delgado hit a sacrifice fly; Jose Reyes had two runs and two hits; and the Mets (64-42) scored three runs on errors, as they won for the fifth time in their last six games.

Winning pitcher Steve Trachsel (10-5) gave up three runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings with one walk and one strikeout. Billy Wagner recorded his 23rd save.

Hanley Ramirez and Miguel Cabrera blasted solo home runs; Cabrera had three hits and knocked in four runs; and Wes Helms had a run and two hits for the Marlins (50-57), who have two losses in their last three games.

Loser Ricky Nolasco (9-7), who committed a key throwing error in the Mets' four-run first inning, surrendered five runs and eight hits in two innings.
