
CLEVELAND, July 29 (UPI) -- Ben Broussard and Raul Ibanez hit solo home runs Saturday night as the Seattle Mariners beat the Cleveland Indians, 3-1.
Willie Blomquist had two hits and one RBI; Yuniesky Betancourt had a run and two hits; and Ibanez also had two hits for the Mariners (50-53), who have won five of their last seven games.
Broussard was obtained from the Indians in a trade on Wednesday.
Winner Jarrod Washburn (5-10) gave up a run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and five strikeouts. J.J. Putz recorded his 21st save.
Jason Michaels hit an RBI double for the lone run; and had two of the five hits for the Indians (45-57), who have dropped two of their last three games.
Losing pitcher Jake Westbrook (7-7) yielded two runs and six hits in eight innings with two walks and three strikeouts.
