
ARLINGTON, Texas, July 28 (UPI) -- Mark Teahen, Andres Blanco, and Emil Brown combined to knock in six runs Friday night as Kansas City walloped Texas, 11-3.
Teahen had two runs, three hits, including a solo home run, and two RBI; Blanco hit an RBI double and an RBI single; Brown hit a two-run single; Matt Stairs and John Buck hit RBI singles; while David DeJesus, who also hit an RBI single, and Shane Costa had two runs and two hits for the Royals (36-66), who had lost their previous two games.
Winning pitcher Luke Hudson (3-3) gave up two runs and seven hits in six innings.
Mark DeRosa and Hank Blalock hit RBI doubles; and a run scored on a throwing error by Blanco for the Rangers (51-52), who have a five-game losing streak.
The loser was starter Vicente Padilla (10-7).
In his first game since being acquired from Milwaukee, Carlos Lee had two hits for Texas.
