MLB: San Diego 10, LA Dodgers 3

LOS ANGELES, July 26 (UPI) -- Winning pitcher Jake Peavy clubbed a two-run homer Wednesday afternoon as San Diego beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 10-3, finishing a three-game sweep.

Peavy finished with two runs, two hits and four RBI; Dave Roberts had two runs, two hits and two RBI; Geoff Blum and Brian Giles each had two runs and two hits; Adrian Gonzalez had two hits, including a solo homer, to extend his hitting streak to 17 games; Josh Bard hit a sacrifice fly; and Mike Cameron had two hits for the Padres (54-47), who have won their last four games.

In seven innings, Peavy (5-10) scattered two runs and five hits with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Rafael Furcal had three hits, including a solo homer; and Olmedo Saenz and Willy Aybar each hit RBI doubles for the Dodgers (47-55), who have lost eight in a row.

The loser was Brad Penny (10-5).
