
CLEVELAND, July 25 (UPI) -- Casey Blake had an inside-the-park homer and Cleveland knocked Kenny Rogers out with a seven-run first inning Tuesday in a 12-7 win over Detroit.
Blake had three RBI for the Indians, who sent 12 men to the plate in the first inning. The Tigers came back and got within 8-7 before the Indians scored once in the sixth and three more in the seventh.
Jason Michaels went 3-for-3, drove in two runs and scored twice for Cleveland, which won for only the third time in 11 games. Grady Sizemore had three hits with an RBI and scored twice for the Indians.
Brandon Inge hit a three-run homer for a second straight night and finished with four RBI for the Tigers, who remained 7 1/2 games ahead of the Chicago White Sox for first place in the American League Central.
