Russian Mikhail Youzhny
and Romanian Andrei Pavel
posted second-round wins Tuesday at the Generali Open in Austria.
The eighth-seeded Youzhny beat Argentine Martin Vassallo Arguello 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), and 16th-seeded Pavel defeated Brazilian Marcos Daniel 6-4, 6-3.
In other second-round play, 13th-seeded German Philipp Kohlschreiber beat Australian Peter Luczak 7-6 (7-3), 7-5, and German Denis Gremelmayr defeated 14th-seeded Belgian Christophe Rochus 7-5, 6-1.
Also, Ecuador's Nicolas Lapentti beat Czech Tomas Zib 7-6 (12-10), 6-3; German Alexander Waske beat Poland's Lukasz Kubot 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6); Argentine Juan Monaco beat Italian Leonardo Azzaro 6-4, 6-2; and Austrian Jurgen Melzer defeated Spaniard Oscar Hernandez 6-3, 6-4.
