COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 22 (UPI) -- The Columbus Crew and the Los Angeles Galaxy played to a 1-1 MLS draw Saturday.

The Galaxy, entering the game with a 512-minute shutout streak, conceded their first goal in five games in the ninth minute to the Crew's Eddie Gaven. The Galaxy countered with a goal by Peter Vagenas in the 14th minute to keep their undefeated streak alive.

With a six-game unbeaten streak, the Galaxy haven't lost since June 8, when they fell, 2-1, to Chivas USA.

The Crew ended a three-game losing streak, but they needed a win, as they remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
