MLS: Colorado 3, Chivas USA 3 (draw)

DENVER, July 20 (UPI) -- Jacob Peterson scored the equalizer 1:31 into stoppage time Thursday night to help Colorado get a 3-3 draw with Chivas USA.

The draw, in rainy weather, helped the Rapids (7-6-4) steal a point in the Western Conference standings of Major League Soccer.

Dedi Ben Dayan and Clint Mathis also scored goals, and Terry Cooke had two assists for Colorado, which had four shots on goal to eight for Chivas.

Jonathan Bornstein scored two goals, one unassisted; Juan Francisco added an unassisted goal; and Lawson Vaughn had an assist for Chivas (6-6-7), which has 22 points in fourth place in the West.

Colorado is third in the West with 25 points.

Joe Cannon made five saves for the Rapids, while Preston Burpo only had to make one for Chivas.
