MLB: N.Y. Mets 4, Cincinnati 2, 10 inn.

CINCINNATI, July 20 (UPI) -- Endy Chavez and Carlos Beltran hit RBI doubles in the top of the 10th inning Thursday afternoon as the New York Mets downed Cincinnati, 4-2.

Cliff Floyd and Carlos Delgado hit solo home runs. Chavez and Floyd each had two hits for the Mets (57-38), who have won six of their last seven games.

The winner was reliever Pedro Feliciano (4-2). Closer Billy Wagner recorded his 19th save.

Ryan Freel had three hits, including a two-run double to account for the runs, and Royce Clayton and Edwin Encarnacion both had two hits for the Reds (50-46), who have split their last four games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Gary Majewski who fell to 3-3.

Mets starter Tom Glavine failed in the fifth attempt to get his 12th win of the season.

The National League East leaders are 4-2 since the All-Star break.
