ANAHEIM, Calif., July 18 (UPI) -- The LA Angels of Anaheim whipped the Cleveland Indians 10-5 Monday on the bats of Garret Anderson and Orlando Cabrera, who each hit two-run homers.
The victory came in the first of a three-game series at Angel Stadium.
Also for the Angels, Maicer Izturis had a career-high four hits, scored three runs and drove in a run, and Vladimir Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI.
The Angels now have won a season-high seven straight and six in a row at home.
Making his major league debut, Dustin Moseley (1-0) picked up the win. Moseley made the start instead of Jered Weaver, who missed the game due to biceps tendinitis in his right arm.
Moseley pitched five innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits.
Travis Hafner homered to extend his hitting streak to 12 games, and Jason Michaels hit a two-run homer for the Indians, who have lost four straight.
