Mathieu, Djokovic win Dutch openers

AMERSFOORT, Netherlands, July 17 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu and third-seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic were among Monday's first-round winners at the Dutch Open.

Mathieu defeated Italian Alessio Di Mauro 6-0, 6-3, while Djokovic defeated fellow Serb Boris Pashanski 6-0, 6-3.

Seventh-seeded Italian Daniele Bracciali also advanced, with a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-4 victory over Dutchman Igor Sijsling.
