SYLVANIA, Ohio, July 13 (UPI) -- Liselotte Neumann carded eight birdies for a 6-under 65 to take the first-round lead at the LPGA Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in Sylvania, Ohio.

"I was very solid off the tee today," said Neumann Thursday. "I only missed one fairway and putted great."

Sung Ah Yim, Michelle Estill and Reilley Rankin were tied for second place at 5-under 66. Six players were in a group one shot back at 67 after the rain-delayed opening round.

World No. 1 Annika Sorenstam was at 2-under 69 after two birdies and 16 pars.
