Edfors, Drysdale lead Scottish Open

GLASGOW, Scotland, July 13 (UPI) -- Sweden's Johan Edfors sank two birdies to start the Scottish Open and ended the first round tied with David Drysdale at the Loch Lomond Golf Club in Glasgow.

Edfors, 30, and Scotsman Drysdale, 31, both carded 6-under 65. Darren Clarke shared third place with Miles Tunnicliff at 5-under 66.

Jose Maria Olazabal, David Bransdon and Andrew Butterfield were at minus-4 along with Scotland's Raymond Russell.

Defending champion Tim Clark was in a group tied for 23rd after stroking a 2-under 69. Colin Montgomerie was 1-over-par with a first round of 72.
