Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, July 13 (UPI) -- Jose Canseco, baseball's best-known whistleblower in the steroid scandal, says he wants to help with the performance-enhancing-drug investigation.
Canseco made his suggestion while meeting with investigation attorneys in which he also reportedly gave up more names of alleged major league steroid users.
"Until someone like Jose is part of the investigation as an investigator, they aren't going to get much cooperation," Canseco's attorney, Rob Saunooke, told the New York Daily News.
Saunooke would not say what new names Canseco provided.
