MLB: Arizona 8, Colorado 5

DENVER, July 9 (UPI) -- Chad Tracy had one run, three hits and two RBI Sunday as Arizona beat the Colorado Rockies, 8-5.

Luis Gonzalez and Orlando Hudson hit solo homers; Craig Counsell had two runs and three hits; Chris Snyder had a run and two hits; and Jeff DaVanon had one run and one hit for the Diamondbacks (43-45), who have won six of their last nine games.

In relief, the winner was Edgar Gonzalez (1-2). Jorge Julio earned his 10th save.

Todd Helton, Matt Holliday and Garrett Atkins all hit RBI doubles; and Clint Barmes hit a two-run homer for the Rockies (44-43), who have lost four of their last six games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Scott Dohmann (1-1).
