
LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Pedro Feliz had three hits and two RBI as the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 5-4, Thursday night.
Moises Alou -- who was activated from the 15-day disabled list earlier in the day -- scored two runs and drove in one for San Francisco, which broke a two-game losing streak.
Rookie starter Matt Cain yielded three runs on six hits over six-plus innings. Brad Hennessey (4-1) held the Dodgers to one run over three innings to get the win, and closer Armando Benitez tossed a scoreless ninth for his ninth save.
Dodgers starter Mark Hendrickson (4-10) served up five runs on nine hits over six innings.
Nomar Garciaparra extended his hitting streak to 18 games with a third-inning single, as the Dodgers saw a three-game winning streak come to an end.
