MLB: N.Y. Yankees 1, Tampa Bay 0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 7 (UPI) -- Four pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout Friday night as the New York Yankees edged Tampa Bay, 1-0, for their third straight win.

The game's only run scored on an RBI single by Bernie Williams in the top of the fourth inning. It was one of only three hits for the Yankees (49-35).

Starter and winner Jaret Wright (5-5) gave up four hits in six innings with no walks and a season-high 10 strikeouts. Mariano Rivera earned his 19th save.

Julio Lugo, Carl Crawford, Aubrey Huff and Dioner Navarro each had one hit for the Devil Rays (38-49).

Tampa Bay has lost two in a row following a three-game winning streak.

In seven innings, losing pitcher Jae Seo (2-6) gave up one run and three hits with one walk and four strikeouts.
