MLB: LA Dodgers 5, Arizona 4

LOS ANGELES, July 6 (UPI) -- Brad Penny held Arizona to two runs on seven hits over seven innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks, 5-4, Wednesday night.

Penny (10-2) struck out six and walked just one as the Dodgers won their third straight game. Takashi Saito earned his sixth save.

Cesar Izturis had two hits, one RBI and one run scored for the Dodgers.

Chad Tracy had two RBI and Orlando Hudson hit a solo home run for the Diamondbacks, who have lost three straight.

Arizona starter Claudio Vargas (7-5) took the loss, giving up five runs on seven hits over four-plus innings.
