HOUSTON, July 4 (UPI) -- Eddie Gaven scored on a penalty kick to help the Columbus Crew earn a point in a 1-1 tie Tuesday with the Houston Dynamo.

The Crew, who were making their first ever trip to Houston, are now winless in seven straight matches. Columbus has not won since collecting three points against FC Dallas on June 3.

The Crew have netted only three goals in their last six outings.

Brian Ching scored for Houston, which pushed its unbeaten streak to six games. It was Ching's first goal for the Dynamo since returning from Germany with the U.S. National Team.
