MLB: Seattle 8, Colorado 7

SEATTLE, July 2 (UPI) -- Carl Everett, Raul Ibanez and Ichiro Suzuki hit home runs Saturday night as Seattle edged Colorado, 8-7.

Suzuki had three runs, three hits and two RBI; Everett's homer was a two-run blast in the fourth inning; and Richie Sexson had one run, two hits and one RBI for the Mariners (42-40), who have won six of their last seven games.

The winning pitcher was Julio Mateo (5-1).

J.J. Putz recorded his 15th save.

Jamey Carroll had one run, three hits and two RBI; Yorvit Torrealba hit a two-run homer; and both Torrealba and Brad Hawpe had two runs and two hits for the Rockies (41-39), whose three-game winning streak was broken.

The loser was David Cortes (3-1).
