CROMWELL, Conn., July 1 (UPI) -- J.J. Henry shot 7-under 63 Saturday to move to 11-under 199 and take a two-stroke lead after three rounds of the PGA's Buick Championship.
Harrison Frazar had a 65 to move into second place at 9-under 201. Camilo Villegas (65) and Ryan Moore (67) share third place at 202. Steve Flesch, Trevor Immelman and Peter Lonard are one stroke further back at 203.
Henry climbed the leader board with birdies on five and seven.
He got within one of Stewart Cink's lead with a birdie on No. 9 and sank a birdie putt on the 11th share of first.
Henry, 31, made a 24-footer for birdie on 17 to move three shots ahead but was unable to save par from a green side bunker at 18.
Henry, born in Fairfield, Conn., won the 1994 and 1995 Connecticut amateur championships. He leads after 54 holes for the first time in his PGA Tour career.
