MLB: Seattle 3, Arizona 2

PHOENIX, June 29 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez homered and Yuniesky Betancourt drove in the go-ahead run in a ninth-inning rally, as Seattle beat Arizona, 3-2, Thursday night.

Jose Lopez drove in one run and Adrian Beltre tripled and scored a run for Seattle, which won its fifth straight game.

Eddie Guardado (1-3) earned the victory, yielding two hits with one strikeout in one inning of relief. J.J. Putz pitched the ninth to get his 14th save.

Seattle starter Gil Meche allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and four strikeouts over seven innings.

Arizona starter Enrique Gonzalez held the Mariners to one run on three hits with two walks and four strikeouts over seven innings. He also scored both of the Diamondbacks' runs.

Arizona lost for the 20th time in its last 23 games.
