MLB: Boston 8, Philadelphia 7 (12 innings)

BOSTON, June 26 (UPI) -- David Ortiz singled in a run in the 12th inning Monday as the Boston Red Sox came from behind to beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-7.

Trailing 7-6 in the 12th, Coco Crisp hit a leadoff ground-rule double and scored on a single from Kevin Youkilis, who moved to second on the throw home. Mark Loretta walked and Ortiz followed with a base hit to left-center.

Youkilis had a pair of hits and drove in two runs and Crisp went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a run batted in for the Red Sox, who have a nine game winning streak.

Craig Hansen (1-0) pitched two-thirds of an inning and gave up one hit for the win, while Jonathan Papelbon blew his second save of the season. Tim Wakefield threw the first six-plus innings, allowing three runs on five hits.

Jimmy Rollins was 3-of-6 with four RBI and a run scored, Chris Coste had three hits, drove in a run and scored a run, and Chase Utley homered for the Phillies, who have lost five straight and 11 of their last 13 games.
