MIAMI, June 23 (UPI) -- The city of Miami Friday held a victory parade for the NBA champion Miami Heat, who won their first title by beating Dallas in six games.

The Heat lost the first two games of the best-of-seven series, then won four in a row. They capped their improbable run by winning Game Six in Dallas, 95-92, Tuesday night.

"I want to make this one a little more personal," veteran center Shaquille O'Neal told a throng of thousands. "I just wanted to get out to touch some people. We will win (the title) again."

"I'm just wowed about winning a championship," said finals MVP Dwayne Wade. "We deserve it. We put a lot of hard work in. Our fans deserve it."

Wade scored 157 points in the last four games and had a per game average of 34.7 points for the series.
