
BALTIMORE, June 22 (UPI) -- Two runs scored on a throwing error by Baltimore shortstop Miguel Tejada in the top of the 10th inning Thursday night as Florida beat the Orioles, 8-5.
Wes Helms and Joe Borchard hit home runs; Jeremy Hermida had two runs and four hits; Miguel Cabrera -- who hit an RBI single while being intentionally walked in the 10th inning -- had two runs, two hits and one RBI; and Reggie Abercrombie had two hits for the Marlins (31-38), who have won nine of their last 10 games.
In relief, the winner was Randy Messenger (1-3). Joe Borowski recorded his 13th save.
Ramon Hernandez hit two solo homers, and three players each drove in a run for the Orioles (33-41).
Baltimore has four losses in its last six games.
Losing pitcher Todd Williams fell to 1-3. Baltimore blew a 5-1 lead in the top of the ninth.
