CLEVELAND, June 19 (UPI) -- Henry Blanco had a home run, four RBI and three runs scored Monday to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 12-8 victory over the Cleveland Indians.
Blanco was in the starting lineup in place of catcher Michael Barrett, who began his 10-game suspension Monday night. Barrett was suspended for his actions on May 20 against the White Sox, which included punching fellow catcher A.J. Pierzynski.
Juan Pierre added three RBI and Phil Nevin also homered for the Cubs, who snapped a six-game losing streak. Todd Walker drove in a pair of runs in the victory.
Sean Marshall (4-5) picked up the win in a rain-shortened outing. He pitched five innings before rain began to fall, leading to a one-hour, 13-minute delay. Marshall allowed four runs on seven hits to snap a personal four-game losing streak.
Eduardo Perez, Travis Hafner and Jhonny Peralta all homered for the Indians, who have lost nine of their last 11 games.
